Daddy's Day!

We started off the day with Night b/f french toast - it was yummy except that the liquid completely burned onto the bottom of the pan -oops a bit of work for daddy later (he insisted). We then went to church and after church we had lunch at my dad and mom's. We made our own subs - which were delicious and made banana splits. I went to the park with my parents and the boys while Rich stayed back and relaxed and held down the fort in case Callia woke up. On the way home we picked up our fav. fast food - taco del mar and then just relaxed after the boys went to bed. The night b/f we were with Rich's dad and had a great bbq and time hanging out with his parents and his brother's family.

Callia gave Rich the picture frame (duh) -Rich's hand is covering where it says "my prince has come and his name is daddy" - it was just perfect. The boys picked out a hockey stick for him - to make him truely Canadian and to save his back (he has been using the little kiddie sticks). Rich is an awesome dad. It is so great to see how he is sooo able to relate to the boys (good thing since he is one) but it's more than that. He loves soccer, the boys love soccer as well as hockey and football - he loves star wars and so do the boys. Ethan can't wait to watch Narnia and Lord of the Rings. They all love video games and building things out of lego. Yep, it's great that they have all that in common even now when the boys are only 2,4 and 6. Up until today Ethan figured Rich was off the entire summer like him - he's a little bit ripped off that he's just with me. It has been so special to see Rich with Callia - he is going to be the daddy wearing the tiara playing princess with his daughter like on that kraft commercial.
